What Once Was Lost...

...now is found.

Okay, so I didn't lost my password or anything, I just got a bit lazy. I try and keep the shameless plugs to a minimum but I figured it was time to plug something business-related where we're giving away something for free.

My company, MeadeFirst, is sponsoring a pro bono project. So definitely check it out. As you can tell, I've been very involved in work lately. However, I was able to upgrade a bit of the lighting situation in the living room. What once before felt like a dimly lit cave, now looks more like this:

and...

For those of you who are curious, I purchased the Juno Trac-12 from a commercial lighting supplier with great service and prices: Lightology. Anyhow, I'm really pleased with the light quality. It's a low-voltage system and that's with two 50 watt fixtures. It's kind of fun being able to try out different bulbs, fixture locations, and aiming. I'm not done yet.

One thing I'm trying to figure out is what to put on the wall (and how to pay for it, see business plug above). Right now, I'm thinking Rothko:

I want something bold, colorful, without having so much detail as to distract interest. I mean, I love Munch's "The Scream" but I don't know how I'd feel watching Grey's Anatomy with the screamer looming over me. Plus, I think Rothko's works have the unique, almost impossible, quality of being both brightly colored, and deep and brooding at the same time.
